Description:

  1. Grape Protocol Members are structuring themselves to arrive at a final model for distributing the monthly emission reward for the month of April.

  2. April 26, DyNite presented the first proposal to distribute the monthly emission reward exclusively for the months of February and March. (doc: February and March Emissions - #6 by MlgEuphorino, model: Copy of February Emissions-Dynite and Dim - Google Sheets)

It is expected to have a model to distribute the monthly emissions reward of the April month. It is expected to have a well formatted document explaining the parameters used to create the model. It is expected to have the option to check the distribitution of each member by parameter.

Once submitted you agree to give over all intellectual and publishing rights of the model and document to GRAPE.

Then, and if it makes sense, we should have a proposal whose idea is that the DAO BOARD creates this bounty every beginning of the month so that all community members have the opportunity to share their ideas on how the emission reward should be distributed.
The DAO BOARD, in addition to creating the bounty, will have the same opportunity to submit its own model/doc to be evaluated.

My opinion is that this should not be a monthly task. It can be adjusted periodically but monthly is too often. Like the parliament also doesn’t vote on the budget each month. They logically make a yearly budget and then naturally get back to work that’s more important than bickering over numbers.
My preference is voting on a model that adjusts emissions per member by transparent metrics for each month but overall stays the same for a longer period.

My understanding is

  1. Bounty is created to post a model to distribute the monthly emission rewards of that month;

  2. DAO Board post on the bounty their own model X with input A and ouput B;

  3. Dao members, if they disagree with the DAO board model, will post their own model Y with input C and output D;

  4. Bounty masters + subDAO leaders + Dao Board will come together and integrate the model X as they see fit;

  5. Bounty masters + subDAO leaders + Dao Board will distribute partially/entire bounty to the dao members who provided usefull information with their models;

  6. Create proposal onchain;
